Dear Trevor,
Thank you for completing a Theme Camp Statement of Intent for 2026 and bringing your theme camp back to Black Rock City! We’re happy to let you know that Mycodelic Forest will be invited to the Stewards Sale for Burning Man 2026: Axis Mundi!
As a returning theme camp in good standing, you will receive 20 total tickets and 10 vehicle passes to support your camp’s invaluable contributions to Black Rock City. We’re excited to see you return to help create the magic again!
Theme camps are one of the primary cultural contributors to Burning Man and we are providing 100% of your requested tickets so your campmates don’t need to compete with the open market to attend BRC. If you believe there is an error in this number and it is not 100% of what you requested, or if you have any adjustments to make since submitting your SOI, please reply to this email ([email protected]) by Monday, February 16 with the correction and we will make updates as necessary.
We hope this eases the pressure you may have felt in previous years trying to get tickets through other channels. You can find information about the 2026 Stewards Sale through Burning Man’s ticketing webpages.
When’s the Stewards Sale?
- February 20-27: Invitation period when you can invite your campmates to purchase Stewards tickets
- March 4-11: Purchasing period when your campers must purchase their allocated tickets
How do I distribute the tickets offered to my theme camp?
New this year: We will be using The Allocator system – the same system used to distribute Setup Access Passes and Late Season Directed Sale tickets over the summer – to assign tickets to buyers. Specific instructions on exactly how to do this will be emailed to you from the ticketing department next week. Keep an eye out for an email from [email protected].
The Allocator will allow theme camp leads to allocate any quantity to a single buyer, rather than the limit of 2 per buyer previously, in the Stewards Sale. You can assign a single ticket to a single buyer or multiple tickets to a single buyer up to the total number of tickets available to your camp. For example, a camp that is offered 10 tickets could assign all 10 to one buyer, or 1 ticket to 10 individual buyers, or any combination like 3 tickets to one buyer and 4 tickets to another and 1 ticket to 3 other buyers.
A few additional notes:
- Vehicle passes must be purchased with at least one ticket and cannot be assigned independently.
- You do not need to specify a delivery method – your group members will be able to choose their own delivery method at checkout.
- Reminder your buyers that they must purchase all items in one transaction. They will not be able to use different credit cards or divide up the order further. If they do not purchase all their allocated tickets/vehicle passes, they will lose the remainder.
- Be sure that you assign yourself tickets and vehicle passes if you intend to purchase for yourself.
- Refunds are not possible so only buy what you/your camp need.
How much are tickets?
The Stewards Sale features all price points ($550, $675, $775, $1,500, $3,000). We encourage those who can purchase tickets at a higher tier to do so and help support those who need to purchase tickets at a lower tier. $675 are guaranteed to all Stewards Sale buyers while $550s are limited. Those who choose a $775 ticket will cover the cost of their participation in BRC. Those who choose to pay more ($975, $1,500, or $3,000) help subsidize lower price tickets for other participants (including through programs like the Ticket Aid Program), event operational costs, and art grants.
Don’t Forget: Placed Camp Questionnaire opens February 18
Remember you still need to complete a Placed Camp Questionnaire (PCQ) to receive reserved placement for your camp in BRC 2026. Completing a SOI does not count for a complete PCQ. We need more details including information about the population, size/dimensions, and location preferences for your camp. The PCQ is due on March 19.
- Placed Camp Questionnaire Fast Track: We have a Fast Tracked PCQ for a shorter and faster form for theme camps with who have been in good standing for the last 3 events they’ve attended and without any issues/concerns.
- Has Mycodelic Forest been Fast Tracked? Yes
- If you’re Fast Tracked, you will be reminded when you start your PCQ in Burner Profiles.
Please note that the current camp lead on file (you!) must fill out the PCQ in order for the pre-population and the Fast Track path to take effect. If someone else will be submitting the PCQ for your theme camp this year, please email us at [email protected] so we can update the camp lead before they start a form to ensure that it links properly for them to receive the Fast Track experience.
Thanks for bringing your gifts and interactivity once again! We look forward to your return!
